"You are slave. You are owned. You are female. You will be forced to be a woman. The Gorean man will accept no compromise on your femininity, not from a slave. She will be what he wishes, and that is a woman, fully, and his. If necessary, you will be whipped or starved. You may fight your Master. He will, if he wishes, allow this to prolong the sport of your conquest., but in the end, it is you who are slave, it is you who will lose. On earth, you had society at your back, he could not so much as speak harshly to you but you would rush away or summon magistrates; here, however, society is not at your back, but his. It will abet him in his wishes, for you are only slave; you will have no one to call - nowhere to run; you will be alone with him and at his mercy. Further, he has not been conditioned with counter instinctual value sets, programmed with guilt, taught self-hatred. He has been taught pride and has, in the very air he breathes, imbibed the mastery of females. They are different men. They are not earthlings. They are Goreans. They are strong, they are hard, and they will conquer you. For a man of earth, you might never be a woman. For a man of Gor, I assure you, my dear, sooner or later you will be."
"The Gorean Master commands sensuality in his female slaves. You cannot even move like that now. Yet muscles can be trained. You will be taught to move as a woman, not a puppet of wood. You will be taught to be sensual. You will learn your womanhood. And, I will tell you where you will learn it. At the feet of a Master."
Philosophy of a Kajira
It is easy to tell among girls, which are familiar
with their condition and which are not.
Once a girl truly understands that she is a slave,
and there is no escape for her, once she understands
it truly, emotionally, categorically, intellectually,
physiologically, totally, deeply, profoundly, in every
cell in her beautiful body, a fantastic
transformation occurs in her.
She then knows she is truly a slave.
She then becomes wild and free, and sexual, and cares
not that she might be scorned by the free either for her
miserable condition or helpless appetites; she knows she
will be what she must; she has no choice; she is slave.
Women, in their heart, long to submit; this is necessary for the
slave girl; she must submit or die; submitted, she is thrilled to
the core; she lives then for love and service, bound to the will of
her master. The joy of the slave girl may seem incomprehensible
to the free but it is a reality.

He is owner i am owned
He commands and I obey
He is to be pleased and I am to please
Why is this?
Because He is Master and I am slave.
YOUR RIGHTS AS A KAJIRA
You have none!!!
"In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal. You have no name in your own right. You may be collared and leashed. You may be bought and sold, whipped, treated as the master pleases, disposed of as he sees fit. You have no rights whatsoever. Legally you have no more status than a tarsk or vulo. Legally, literally, you are an animal."
- EXPLORERS OF GOR, Pg. 316
When one is made a slave on Gor, they lose all the rights and connections they had in their past life. They are no longer seen as the person they were before, but rather are viewed much as a "human animal," and are treated as such. They do not decide their own fate, and are not expected to make their own decisions regarding their lives, as this is no longer theirs to choose. They do not so much as even possess the names they are called by, these being given and taken away as it pleases their owners. Their lives are subject to their owner's whim in a very real and tangible way. They do not "bargain" with men, nor do they place "limits" on their service, they simply do as they are told and do it when they are told, or they are swiftly, harshly, and effectively punished. A master may discipline or even destroy his property if he chooses, and the Laws of the various Gorean lands will not only not contest this, but will fully support it.
Masters in general, see slaves much in the same way the Law does. Gorean men do not seek to defend slave girls or protect them, other than what would be obvious concerning the preservation of their personal property or that of another. Such would be done for the sake of the owner though, not so much the slave. The slave in itself is seen as property, an item whose sole purpose is to bring pleasure to the owner and/or comfort to his life. Nothing is directly given in return for this as a matter of obligation, everything is simply expected of the girl. Basic food and shelter are not a form of payment, but simple necessity to keep one's property able to serve. A master may take good care of his slaves, and the majority do, but this is a matter of him wanting to, not having to. It makes little sense to buy something, anything, and keep it, if you are not going to see to it's care and upkeep, especially if it is something you value and enjoy. Goreans are very practical beings and though the totality of ownership can be shown in the ability to destroy, it is not practical to damage or destroy something you value, for the future enjoyment is thus diminished.
Gorean slave girls become quickly accustomed to their new "station" in life. Those born on Gor have a very clear understanding of what slavery is and what it means, prior to any collar being put around their necks. They are raised around it and understand its principles clearly, often also understanding much of what would be expected of them if enslaved, and knowing how they would be treated. Those born to a collar, actually a minority of slaves in general, simply know no other way of life. And those taken from Earth quickly adapt to what their new lives are, under the harsh discipline and direction of their Gorean Masters, though in truth, it is less an exercise in teaching the female to be a slave, as it is teaching the slave to be a female, something she was prior taught to deny. But no matter what a girl's past may be, all such things become irrelevant once she is enslaved, and as a slave, she is made to understand this clearly. It is not difficult for a woman to be a slave. Once the initial steps are taken, the reality that now surrounds her, fast awakens the reality that was always within, and the need for instruction is surmounted by nature and instinct itself.
In reality, and in many ways, the last "right" an individual has is when they choose life and slavery over death

"The brand itself, in the case of the girls, is a rather graceful mark, being the initial letter of the Gorean expression for slave in cursive script. If a male is branded, the same initial is used, but in a block letter."
Book 2, Outlaw of Gor, pages 186 - 187
"The small, heavy lock on a girls slave collar, incidentally, may be of several varieties, but almost all are cylinder locks, either of the pin or disk variety. In a girls collar lock there would be six pins or six disks, one each, it is said, for each letter of in the Gorean word for female slave, kajira; the male slave, or kajirus, seldom has a locked collar; normally a band of iron is simply hammered about his neck; often he works in chains, usually with other male slaves."
Book 5, Assassin of Gor, page 51
"In some cities, including Ar, an unchained male slave is almost never seen; there are, incidentally, far fewer male slaves than female slaves;"
Book 5, Assassin of Gor, page 51
"The pools were beautiful, and yet I knew that somewhere, chained in darkness, were gangs of male slaves who cleaned them each night;"

"Harold, as a boy, had once been a slave in the baths, those of the city of Turia, before he had escaped. He had told me that sometimes a Bath Girl, to discipline her, is thrown to the slaves in the darkness."
Book 5, Assassin of Gor, page
"Male slaves, on Gor, are not particularly valuable, and do not command high prices. Most labor is performed by free men. Most commonly, male slaves are utilized on the cargo galleys, and in the mines, and on the great farms. They also serve, frequently, as porters at the wharves. Still, perhaps they are fortunate to have their lives, even at such a price. Males captured in war, or in the seizure of cylinders or villages, or in the pillaging of caravans, are commonly slain. The female is the prize commodity in the Gorean slave markets. A high price for a male is a silver tarsk, but even a plain wench, of low caste, provided she moves well to the touch of the auctioneer's coiled whip, will bring as much, or more. An exception to the low prices for males generally is that paid for a certified woman's slave, a handsome male, silken clad, who has been trained to tend a woman's compartments. Some of such bring a price comparable to that brought by a girl, of average loveliness. Prices, of course, tend to fluctuate with given markets and seasons. If there are few such on the market in a given time, their prices will tend to be proportionately higher. Such men tend to be sold in the women's auctions, closed to free men, with the exception, of course, of the auctioneer and such personnel. Some of such bring a price comparable to that brought by a girl, of average loveliness."

"The litany and responses of the congregation were now completed and the initiates, some twenty within the rail, began to sing in archaic Gorean. I could make out little of the wording. There was an accompaniment by sistrums. Portions of the hymn were taken up by four delicated boys, standing outside the white on a raised platform. Their heads were shaved and they wore robes resembling those of the initiates. Choirs of such boys often sang in the great temples. They were young male slaves, purchased by initiates, castrated by civil authorities and, in the monasteries, trained in song. I supposed, to one versed in music, their soprano voices were very beautiful. I did not care much for them. Here in the far north, of course, in Kassau, to have any such boys, properly trained in the archaic hymns, indicated some wealth. I did not think such singers existed even in Lydius."
Book 9, Marauders of Gor, page 42
"Slavery also, of course, encompasses the ownership of male slaves, for which there is less precedentdent in nature. Where males are concerned the institution is primarily economic. The labor of male slave is useful and cheap. It is applied in such places as the quarries, the roads, the great farms, in certain types of cargo galleys, on the wharves, at the walls of cities and in the forests. Male slaves are usually debtors or criminals; sometimes they are captives, taken in actions against enemy cities or facilities; sometimes they have merely accrued the displeasure of powerful men or families; some slavers, working in gangs, specialize in the capture of free men for work projects; they obtain a fee per head on a contractual basis."
Book 12, Beasts of Gor, pages 235 - 236
" 'You seem to have no male slaves,' I observed.
'They are now scarce in Schendi,' he said. 'Bila Huruma, Ubar of Lake Ushindi, uses them for work on his great canal.' "
